2014 Silver Tommie Award Winner
In this transitional kitchen renovation we removed walls dividing dining room & kitchen to living space creating an open concept kitchen & great room. With walls removed we could accommodate the fridge on the range wall while still being able to center the range as a focal point. Having the additional space for an expansive island - clients did not require seating on this island which allowed us to create this great 4-sided multi-use work space with prep sink, wine rack as well as housing the microwave.

Kitchen renovation for out of province clients who have a passion for cooking & entertaining, our goal was to open up this small galley kitchen to create a dramatic lofty 2000sf, nearly entirely open concept great room for large gatherings. Updating finishings & flooring while working with West Coast Contemporary Architectural features including an abundance of cedar & large four-sided fireplace. Upon reviewing the purposed design we determined upon removing the kitchen walls, the kitchenette would appear to be too closed in. We decided to open up these walls as well. In order to define this pace & fashion a point of interest, we cladded the remaining sections of walls in stained fir as a decorative post & beam feature.
